<p>LAS VEGAS &#8211; Roundarch, a digital consultancy focused on designing and building enterprise class Web sites and Web applications, will award Scott Guthrie, corporate vice president of the .NET Developer Platform at Microsoft Corp., its annual Interactive Experience Award, which recognizes pioneers in the advancement of digital experiences, on March 19 at the MIX09 conference put on by Microsoft in Las Vegas, NV.<br />

<p>Guthrie was selected for his ground-breaking efforts in Web development including the creation of the Microsoft .NET platform, Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) and Microsoft Silverlight. The award will be presented just prior to Guthrie’s presentation at Open Space.</p>
<p>“The Web is undergoing a quiet revolution,” said Jeff Maling, president and chief experience officer of Roundarch. “The static sites of yesterday are being replaced by rich, immersive experiences that are more commonly associated with desktop applications. The vision of Scott’s team is that developers will be able to create these applications once and deploy them on the desktop with WPF and through the Web with Silverlight. It is an ambitious but eminently logical vision that, in the end, will benefit enterprises, developers and consumers alike.”</p>
<p>Roundarch believes that in the coming years, applications built on these emerging technologies will change how people and businesses consume information, shop, work and connect with others. Guthrie’s work with the Silverlight platform is forging into this new territory by enabling next generation media experiences on the Web on a global scale.</p>

<p>MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. (August 05, 2008) –Today, DoubleClick, a premier provider of digital marketing technology and services, announced the new capability to serve video ads into Microsoft Silverlight 2 video environments. NBCOlympics.com, a division of NBC Universal, will be one of the first sites to open Silverlight 2 content up to advertisers with DoubleClick In-Stream. The solution carves out new video inventory across 2,500 hours of video content running as part of NBC&#8217;s Olympics coverage.<br />
