Michael Blend Promoted to President and COO, Demand Media

Demand Media® (NYSE: DMD), a leading digital media company, announced today the promotion of Michael Blend to president and chief operating officer, expanding his current responsibilities overseeing content and media to include leading the company’s domain registration services. He will continue to report to chairman and chief executive officer, Richard Rosenblatt, and the move will be effective August 16.

Demand Media® (NYSE: DMD) announced the introduction of a suite of rich media advertising units that incorporate its new Social Feed ad management tools. These tools allow advertisers to deliver customized social media content directly into their live rich media ads – including ads that feature video, audio, Flash and HTML5.
