The two-day event took place on April 9 and 10 and brought digital marketers and advertising and technology enthusiasts from around the world to network, learn and immerse themselves in the ever-growing digital marketing field.</p>

<p>Almost 1,300 of the overall audience participated in the conference program, which consisted of keynotes, breakouts, Q&amp;A sessions and panels covering mobile, brand, display, performance and innovation. Also, complimentary education from Google and other industry thought-leaders created standing-room-only crowds in booths and the ad:tech Tutorials Theater on the expo floor.</p>
<p>In addition to top-notch education, attendees at ad:tech took advantage of seeing and testing the latest products and services showcased by 211 exhibitors and sponsors. Many companies participated in Innovation Alley, a feature area dedicated to new and innovative solutions for marketers. Extending its commitment to highlighting pioneering technology and services was the return of Startup Spotlight, a competition to find the most innovative companies in the digital marketing field. <p>ad:tech San Francisco 2013</p>
<p>DALLAS &#8211; ad:tech San Francisco, in partnership with Wonderful Pistachios and General Mills, is excited to announce the finalists of its Startup Spotlight Series: SpyderLynk, AppGlu, iMobileMedia, Pocket Change, Dlvr.it, NUVI, Linqia and Pixlwise.</p>

<p>These recognized global brands partnered with ad:tech to find the most innovative new companies in digital marketing. The competition launched in February, with each brand hunting for a specific solution: Wonderful Pistachios Mobile Commerce and General Mills Social Engagement.</p>
<p>Over 45 startups entered, but only eight were chosen as finalists; four for the mobile commerce challenge and four for the social engagement challenge. The finalists will make their final business pitches live, on-stage at ad:tech San Francisco from April 9-10, 2013. The winner selected in each challenge will be awarded with the ad:tech Innovation Award and will be able to take their pitch in-house.</p>

<p>DALLAS &#8211; ad:tech San Francisco, the leading and most diverse digital marketing event in the country, will be home to the latest discussions and content in gamification through its new gaming pavilion, “game:tech,” and special session, “<em><strong>Game On: How Gamification Drives Consumer Sales &amp; Engagement.</strong></em>”</p>

<blockquote><p>“Game On: How Gamification Drives Consumer Sales &amp; Engagement.”</p></blockquote>
<p>The gaming pavilion, “game:tech,” will have four pods showcasing games-related marketing companies representing the future of gamification as it relates to acquiring new customers, retaining current ones, encouraging social promotion and adding a little fun to marketing efforts. This area on the Expo Floor will feature a lounge space with vintage and current generation video game consoles and a dedicated arcade “ambassador” who will be facilitating game play sessions. Special session, “Game On: How Gamification Drives Consumer Sales &amp; Engagement,” will be held from 3:30-4:30 p.m. on April 9 and will feature speakers from Electronic Arts, SponsorPay and NativeX.</p>
<p>To build the excitement for this gamification revolution before the show, ad:tech is also partnering up with Alpha Flip for a special game contest. Beginning Thursday April 4, 2013, through Friday, April 5, 2013, gaming masters or aspiring gaming pros can enter and participate in the Alpha Flip game by visiting the Alpha Game site for ad:tech . By end of day April 5, 2013, three winners will be selected and awarded with an Expo/Keynote pass to ad:tech San Francisco next week.</p>

<p><b>Dallas, TX </b>– <a href="http://na.ad-tech.com/sf/" target="_blank">ad:tech San Francisco</a>, the leading and most diverse digital marketing event in the country, announced the <strong>Startup Spotlight Series</strong> call for entries is now open. Startup Spotlight is looking for the most innovative companies within digital marketing to compete in two challenges: Mobile Commerce and Social Engagement. The competition will be held at ad:tech San Francisco in April; brand partners will be announced within the coming weeks. Applications are being accepted from now until Thursday, February 28.</p>

<p>Eight finalists will be chosen from all of the submissions, with four participants in each of the two categories. All finalists will be given the opportunity to attend and exhibit free-of-charge at ad:tech San Francisco in Innovation Alley (a $4,500 value), and pitch live onstage.</p>
<p>Each startup will pitch their business to a panel of brand judges, who will then select two startups in their respective categories to win the ad:tech Innovation Award, and the chance to take their pitch in-house.</p>
<p>Challenge details are:</p>
<ul>
<li>         The <b>Mobile</b> <b>Commerce Challenge</b> is aimed at startups that can make mobile a real sales channel for brands. The product or service that wins will help marketers wade through the barcodes, coupons and check-ins to find the right tactics for driving mobile purchases.</li>
<li>         The <b>Social Engagement Challenge</b> is for platforms and services that help marketers fully leverage social channels to create, syndicate and promote their content across a variety of devices – including tablets, phones and connected TVs.</li>
