Tremor Video Accredited by MRC for Viewable Impression and Viewable Completion Metrics

Accreditation Continues the Company’s Leadership as a Pioneer of Viewability Standards

NEW YORK – Tremor Video, Inc. (NYSE:TRMR), an advertising technology company elevating brand advertising effectiveness across all screens for the world’s leading brands and publishers, today announced it has received accreditation by the Media Rating Council (MRC) for its measurement of viewable video ad impressions and related viewability metrics, as well as its viewable video ad completions. This accreditation means that the company’s programmatic buying platform and managed service clients can now buy and optimize on Tremor Video’s MRC-accredited viewability statistics.

The company’s VideoHub® technology was the first to become accredited for a video viewability metric (Average Viewability Percentage) in May 2013. It is now accredited by the MRC for its video viewable impression, as well as a range of other viewability-related measures.

“As a premium video marketplace, we lead by offering the full range of viewability metrics for buying, optimizing and measuring this essential element through our managed and self-service offerings,” said Bill Day, CEO of Tremor Video. “We were proud to be the first video viewability measurer to receive MRC accreditation for a video viewability metric in 2013, and we’re excited to receive the MRC’s stamp of approval on our video viewable impression measurement, as we continue to bring transparency and effectiveness to marketers.”

Tremor Video allows marketers the ability to buy and optimize their campaigns against these now-accredited metrics, which are available to Tremor Video’s clients in the U.S., U.K. and Canada.

  • Programmatic buys: Through Tremor Video’s DSP, clients can choose viewability as a key performance indicator (Viewable Impression or Viewable Complete) and Tremor Video’s DSP automatically optimizes to that goal.
  • Guaranteed managed service ad campaigns: Our technology guarantees clients will reach their predetermined viewability metric when utilizing CPVI (cost-per-viewable impression) and CPV&C (cost-per-100% viewable and 100% complete).

The MRC is an independent non-profit industry organization whose primary mission is to ensure valid, reliable and effective audience-measurement services. MRC accreditation of Tremor Video’s viewable impression measurement solution certifies that VideoHub’s procedures and accredited metrics adhere to the Minimum Standards for Media Rating Research published by the MRC, the IAB’s Digital Video Ad Impression Measurement Guidelines, and the MRC’s Viewable Impression Measurement Guidelines.

“Tremor Video once again has demonstrated its leadership and commitment to quality and transparency through its attainment of MRC accreditation for their viewable impression metrics,” said George W. Ivie, Executive Director and CEO of MRC. “We congratulate Tremor Video for meeting the rigorous standards that are required for this achievement.”
