OBJE Develops New Solutions to Eliminate Banner Ads in Mobile Games

SARASOTA, Fla. – As the global marketplace for mobile gaming apps continues to grow, Obscene Interactive, the gaming division of OBJ Enterprises (OTCBB: OBJE) is working to boost revenues by replacing in-game banner ads with newer, more engaging marketing techniques.

“The best games are full of moments worth celebrating, and we’re working to partner with businesses to reward players for their achievements with coupons and vouchers for products and services they’re already using anyway”

Games are by far the leading app category on smartphones, making up 33 percent of downloads. Some of the biggest names in mobile gaming, however, are beginning to turn away from the dominant mobile advertising model. King, the developer of mega-smash Candy Crush Saga, has eliminated in-game advertising as a core element of its overall business strategy in order to provide customers with a more organic, uninterrupted gaming experience. Many other game-makers—including Obscene Interactive—are doing the same.

OBJE is working on a new advertising model for upcoming app releases that makes points and achievements unlocked in games redeemable for real-world coupons, products, special offers and more that are supplied by corporate partners ready to purchase the leads. By monetizing rewards and achievements, OBJE plans to make breaks in the gaming action more profitable than ever before.

“The best games are full of moments worth celebrating, and we’re working to partner with businesses to reward players for their achievements with coupons and vouchers for products and services they’re already using anyway,” said OBJE CEO Paul Watson. “It’s an innovative model that benefits game developers, advertisers and, most importantly, players—our customers. Banner ads in games will soon be a not-so-fondly remembered relic of the past.”

OBJE is constantly developing new products and partnerships with up-and-coming, independent game developers in order to compete with more established names including companies such as Glu Mobile Inc. (NASDAQ: GLUU), DeNA Co., Ltd. (OTCBB: DNACF) and The9 Limited (NASDAQ: NCTY).
