Mobile Marketing and Mobile Advertising Leader Posts 52 Percent Quarter-Over-Quarter Campaign Growth
NEW YORK - Hipcricket®, the one-stop mobile marketing and advertising wholly-owned subsidiary of Augme® Technologies, Inc. (OTCBB: AUGT or “Augme”), announced that it has surpassed the 200,000 mark for mobile marketing and mobile advertising campaigns, thereby maintaining its industry leadership position in this key metric. By completing more than 27,000 campaigns in the quarter ended May 31, 2012 (the first quarter of FY2013), Hipcricket enjoyed a 52 percent increase in campaigns completed when compared with the previous quarter ended February 29, 2012.
Among the 27,000 campaigns completed during the company’s first fiscal quarter, a leading real estate company boosted its campaign count quarter over quarter by more than 80 percent; a non-profit upped its count by more than 70 percent; a digital software company managed a 61 percent increase; and a top broadcaster completed over 45 percent more campaigns.
Additional selected highlights of the quarter included:
- A major studio turned to Hipcricket as a one-stop mobile marketing and advertising solution for designing and implementing a comprehensive campaign to attract, engage and re-target audiences on mobile devices. The movie broke all previous opening weekend records for box office purchases made with mobile devices.
- Hipcricket added approximately 50 new customers, bringing the size of its customer base to more than 350.
- The company became a leader in mobile marketing and advertising solutions for the lottery industry and is now working with lotteries in more than a half-dozen states across the U.S.
